"After a slip and fall several months ago, I suffered a hip labral tear. Over the following weeks, I was in excruciating pain. I could not run, lift weights, drive, tie my shoes, or even cross my legs during this time. With my 6’11’’ height, simple movements like getting in and out of a car became grueling. As a former Division I lacrosse player, physical activity has always been a part of who I am, so this injury was very demoralizing.
