Lowell Weil, Jr., DPM

Lowell Weil, Jr., earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University. His post-graduate education was done at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, where he earned a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine and at the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management earning his Master's in Business Administration. He has practiced in Chicagoland since 1996 and started the first Fellowship in Podiatric Reconstructive Surgery. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Weil Foot & Ankle Institute (WFAI) from 2014 - 2023. When he joined the practice in 1996, there were four doctors and three office locations. Under his leadership, the practice grew in the ensuing years and in 2014, there were 16 doctors in the organization. By 2023, the number had grown to 50 doctors, four States, and 300 employees. In 2023, WFAI merged with a equity backed company, Balance Health(BH). Lowell became Executive Chairman and doctors make up a majority of BH ownership. As of 2026, Balance Health has 300+ doctors in eleven states with continued growth on the horizon. Lowell leads all education initiatives for BH and intimately involved with M&A while serving on the Executive Team and Board of Directors.

Throughout his career, Lowell has been known as a leader in foot and ankle surgery internationally. He was the physician representative on the Board of Directors for Memometal(MMI) and served on the Board of Directors of GLW Medical. He has pioneered surgical procedures that have improved the lives of patients worldwide and has several patents. he served as Editor-in-Chief of Foot and Ankle Specialist, the only orthopedic-podiatric combined peer-reviewed Journal. He has lectured in eleven countries on five continents and 32 States.

Michael Derick

Michael Derick

Michael Derick is the CEO of Derick Services, LLC, a MSO serving Dermatology Practices in Illinois and Florida. He has worked in the Dermatology sector since 2006. Prior to joining the medical field, Michael was a professional investor at Citadel in Chicago and Basswood Partners in New York City. Michael began his career in Mergers and Acquisitions with JPMorgan, where he specialized in hostile takeovers and defense. Michael is a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania (BA) and Harvard Business School (OPM). Michael lives in Miami Beach with his wife, Dr. Amy Derick, and their three children.

Jacqueline “Jackie” Morris is a healthcare strategy and corporate development executive with deep experience advising and scaling healthcare organizations.  She brings a blend of strategic, financial, and operational expertise to her advisory work, supporting healthcare investors and multi-site provider organizations as they navigate market dynamics, expand services, broaden geographic reach, and enhance operational performance.

Jackie previously served as Chief Strategy & Development Officer at TAG – The Aspen Group, one of the nation’s largest retail healthcare support organizations, providing non-clinical business services to brands including Aspen Dental and WellNow Urgent Care. During her tenure, she led enterprise strategy, helped launch new service lines, expanded into additional areas of retail healthcare, and supported growth from approximately 750 to more than 1,400 locations.

Earlier in her career, Jackie held senior strategy and business development roles at Cardinal Health, naviHealth, and Express Scripts, and worked in investment banking and private equity at JPMorgan, BNP Paribas and The Carlyle Group. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSBA from Boston University.

Jackie’s multidisciplinary background enables her to provide high-impact advisory guidance to healthcare organizations seeking to elevate care delivery while building resilient, scalable platforms positioned for long-term growth.

Nathan Brown

Nathan Brown

Nathan joined Wind Point in 1997. He currently serves on the boards of Central Moloney, Envera Systems, Enviromatic Systems, Hiller, MOREgroup, Nelson Global Products, Pavion, Vertex and Voyant Beauty. Previously, he served on the boards of America’s PowerSports, Aurora Plastics, Citadel Plastics, Interface Performance Materials, Kleinfelder Group, Marshfield DoorSystems, RailWorks, Taylor-Wharton International, United Subcontractors, Valicor Environmental Services and Vision Ease.

Prior to Wind Point, Nathan was an Analyst with the Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions departments of ScotiaMcLeod (now Scotia Capital Markets). Nathan holds a BA in philosophy from Queen’s University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Alyssa Rapp

Alyssa Rapp

Alyssa currently serves as the CEO of Empower Aesthetics, a portfolio company of Chicago-based Shore Capital Partners, for which she served on the board of directors prior to stepping in as CEO. Alyssa is charged with driving explosive growth for Shore via Empower via a microcap roll-up strategy of medical spas (“MedSpa’s”) throughout the US. Alyssa also currently serves as an independent director for Together Women’s Health, another Shore Capital Partners portfolio company in the women’s health space, and as an independent director for healthcare technology firm Health Data Movers. On all of her private company boards, Alyssa actively engages with fellow board directors and management teams on best in class execution, mergers and acquisitions and new platform strategies. Previously, she served as the CEO and a Director of Healthwell Acquisition Corp. I (NASDAQ: HWEL), having managed the IPO, M&A, and all requisite financial reporting processes to the SEC throughout the SPAC’s lifecycle. Finally, Alyssa is an elected member of Illinois’ District 36 School Board.

Alyssa began her career as a Dot.com CEO in Silicon Valley, the founder and CEO of Bottlenotes, Inc., an ecommerce platform (“Netflix for Wine”), that grew into a leading interactive media company in the alcohol beverage category. Thereafter, from 2015-2018, Alyssa served as the Managing Partner of AJR Ventures, a strategic advisory firm for family offices and private equity firms on market development and e-commerce strategies for select portfolio companies. Simultaneously, Alyssa served as a lecturer-in-management at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, previously teaching courses entitled the Global Dynamics of the Wine Industry and in the core curriculum, Managerial Skills, from 2014-2022. She joined the faculty at the University of Chicago’s Booth Business School in 2019 as an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship, teaching a course annually on Women as Investors, Directors, CEOs and Executives, and was asked the lead the Global New Venture Challenge for Booth for its global executive MBAs as of 2023.

From 2018-2021, Alyssa served as the Chief Executive Officer of Surgical Solutions, a B2B healthcare services business providing non-clinical surgical services to hospitals owned by Chicago based private equity firm, Sterling Partners. As CEO, Ms. Rapp led a successful turnaround of the enterprise, driving 21% sales growth with 90% customer retention, and successfully selling the company to a global strategic enterprise, Grupo Vitalmex. She served as CEO of the US subsidiary with the new parent. From 2021-2023, Alyssa has served as the Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Special Purpose Acquisition Corporation (“SPAC”), Healthwell Acquisition Corp. I, a $250MM SPAC (NASDAQ: HWEL) seeking to merge with a leading healthcare technology company. Alyssa has gained frontline experience as a public company CEO and director, leading the organization through the IPO and its robust merger and acquisition processes. Healthwell diligenced over 100 companies and submitted more than 14 LOIs over 24 months, while navigating a challenging bear market. Healthwell announced its merger with Starton Therapeutics in April 2023. Alyssa earned a B.A. in Political Science and the History of Art from Yale University in 2000 and an M.B.A. from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business in 2005. She is the author of Amazon Bestseller, Leadership and Life Hacks: Insights from a Mom, Wife, Entrepreneur & Executive (ForbesBooks, October 2019).

When not serving as a CEO, director, or lecturer-in-management, Alyssa loves to hike, ski, do yoga, read biographies, write and travel, and most important, continues to strive to decipher a curve ball from a slider from her MLB 1990 World Series Champion husband, Hal Morris, cheer on her tennis loving daughter, Audrey, her equestrian loving daughter, Henriette, or run their Bernedoodle, Yoda.
