Physician-Led. Patient-First

Physician-Led. Patient-First.
American Hip Institute is an independently physician-led practice built around the care of patients with hip conditions. As healthcare practices across the country are increasingly acquired and consolidated by larger organizations, the business of medicine can begin to take priority over the practice of medicine. We believe healthcare decisions should be driven by what is best for the patient—not what generates the most revenue. Our physicians are able to focus on what matters most: determining the right diagnosis, discussing your options, and recommending the care that is appropriate for you, not following a corporate treatment model or one-size-fits-all approach.
Patient-first care means that treatment is not predetermined. For some patients, the right answer may be physical therapy or another nonsurgical approach. For others, surgery may provide the best opportunity to return to the activities they enjoy. Our physicians take your symptoms, diagnosis, activity level, previous treatments, and goals into account before recommending a path forward. The goal is not to perform a particular treatment. The goal is to provide the right treatment for the patient.

Our physician-led model also allows us to remain focused on advancing hip care through the American Hip Institute Research Foundation. Our physicians contribute to research, education, and innovation while continuing to care for patients every day. We believe the best healthcare keeps the physician-patient relationship at the center, and that patients should have access to specialized expertise without losing the individualized care that comes from an independent practice.
