Jim Schneider, MMS, PA-C

Jim Schneider, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery with a strong focus on sports medicine and joint care. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Iona College in 2016 and completed his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2019. Jim launched his clinical career at DuPage Medical Group in 2019, focusing on upper extremity care. He continued to develop his expertise in orthopedic sports medicine at Hinsdale Orthopedics from 2020 to 2021. In 2022, he moved to South Carolina and joined OrthoCarolina, where he worked across both sports medicine and total joint specialties.

In 2025, Jim returned to Illinois to join the American Hip Institute, where he currently practices with a focus on hip preservation and joint reconstruction. His work supports a team committed patient-centered orthopedic care. Jim's passion for orthopedics stems from personal experience—having undergone two ACL reconstructions in high school—he developed a lasting interest in medicine and rehabilitation. That experience continues to shape his empathetic and thoughtful approach to helping patients recover and return to the activities they enjoy.
